Please use the information on this page to help you get the most out of the AWOL Classifieds.
You will find information about submitting or editing a listing and the free or paid options on the home page, while payment information for Premium ads can be found by clicking here.
You can also use the ‘Contact Us’ button visible on every page if you want to comment, ask a question, make a suggestion or any other feedback you may want to give.
Anything you send will help us to improve the website, but some technical issues may take longer to deal with than others; there may also be issues being caused by both which internet browser you use, and which version, we encourage you to update it to the most recent version. If your browser requires updating, you will see a message in the top right of your screen – click on it and you will be taken to the relevant upgrade site.

Now on to our Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Why do I have to register on AWOLonline?

A better question might be ‘Why wouldn’t you register?’ You don’t have to register with us to view the site, but if you want to place a classified advert, submit a property for sale, add a listing to the directory, post in our forum, comment on our blog and a multitude of other things, then joining is necessary. And it is completely free!

2. OK then, how do I join?

Registration and login is as simple as we could make it; just click on ‘Login’ or ‘Register’ wherever you see them on any page in the site. You will always find them at the top left of the screen, but there are also other places (such as in this line of text you are reading) where you can click and be taken to the relevant page.

3. What’s the difference between Login and Register?

Good question! Generally speaking on any website requiring you to register and login, you will register first to establish your ‘identity’ on the site, normally with a User name, email address and password; once these have been checked (to ensure a valid email address and a unique user name) and accepted online, an email will be sent to the address given with details of your registration and a link that must be clicked on to finish the validation process. Once you have done this, you can then login to the site using the user name and password.

AWOLonline uses this process as well, but we have an added bonus! To make things even easier, if you already have an account with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, Yahoo, Paypal or OpenID, you can join AWOL using them. Click on the relevant icon displayed on the Login page (and also the Social Connect boxes you will see on many pages, including this one) and simply enter the login details for your selected account. No need to create a new password, user name or anything else!

4. I tried to register but it wouldn’t work. Why?

Registration can fail sometimes because of a number of reasons, but most often it is one of three things:

(i) A technical problem with the website, such as the hosting service being unavailable temporarily;

(ii) A problem with the information submitted, such as an invalid email address; or

(iii) Your email account or IP address has been previously identified as a source of spam.

If this happens to you, please use the ‘Contact Us’ button (at the top of your screen), or  to send us details of what happened, with as much information as possible to enable us to both check our system, and carry out the registration for you when necessary.

5. Why is there no  ‘xyz’  email or social network account login?

We have implemented the most commonly used email and social network accounts but there are others available – please let us know which one you would like to see available if it is not already.
